Definition of personal information

Personal information referred in the policy is defined as information provided to ASMO by its customers as could identify customer's address, name, phone number, and E-mail address, etc., or unique information on its customer.

Acquisition of personal information

As a rule, any personal information ASMO acquired from its customers may be regarded as provided (or registered) to it at customer's will.
Personal information ASMO acquired from its customer shall be used to an extent where it is necessary for ASMO to achieve purposes represented to its customer.
Customer may reject to provide (register) its personal information to ASMO at its own discretion, but in some of such case the customer may find itself unable to avail itself of such service as absolutely needs its personal information.

Purpose of using personal information and limit of its use

ASMO will use personal information on its customer 1) in response to questions, requests and applications received from its customer, 2) to perform contracts executed between ASMO and its customer, and 3) to provide useful information to its customer relating to specific products and/or services.
In case ASMO acquires and uses personal information on its customer for purposes other than those specified above, ASMO will notify thet customer of the purposes of acquiring and of the methods of using such information or publish such purposes and methods prior to acquiring such information.
Furthermore, as a statistical data, such personal information may be used from time to time in a form in which its identification cannot be recognized.

Principle of non-disclosure of personal information to third party

Under no circumstances shall ASMO disclose to any third party any personal information its customer provided (registered) except in case any one of the followings shall apply:

1. ASMO obtained a prior written consent of its customer.
2. In case ASMO finds it necessary to disclose such personal information to its corporate group, partners, affiliates and subcontractors under confidentiality agreements therebetween to fulfill such purposes as specified to its customer of using such personal information (outsourcing dispatch of won prize, for example).
3. In case such personal information has been processed to an extent where identification of its customer cannot be recognized (number of prize contest applicants by age, for example)
4. In case ASMO is required by relevant laws to provide such information.

Personal information control

Any personal information provided to ASMO from its customers is being placed under tight control by persons responsible for information control and by those for its Website control with appropriate measures being taken to prevent such information from being leaked, misappropriated and altered, etc. In case any particular rules are provided relating to usage of ASMO website, such rules shall take precedence over this "Protection of Privacy."
ASMO shall do best of its efforts in educating its employees with respect to direct handling of personal information for its complete protection.

Compliance with relevant laws and improvement therefor

ASMO shall comply with applicable laws and ordinances and governmental notices and other rules and regulations provided for protection of personal information and shall continue exerting its strenuous efforts to improve own system of protecting such personal information so that any personal information could be handled directly.
Moreover, what is being improved by ASMO for protection of personal information shall be reflected from time to time on this "Protection of Privacy."
